About Me

Dr. Yeongsu Anthony Kim is an Assistant Professor of Management at the Bryan School of Business and Economics, University of North Carolina at Greensboro. His research primarily explores nonmarket strategies, shareholder activism, and sustainability, all through the lenses of strategic leadership and corporate governance. Dr. Kim is also interested in how companies leverage human capital to gain competitive advantages or expand globally, with his work featured in leading journals like Academy of Management Journal and Journal of International Business Studies.

Dr. Kim earned his Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He also holds a master’s degree in Strategy and International Business from INSEAD and Seoul National University, alongside a bachelor’s in Business Administration and Sports Industry Studies from Yonsei University.

Dr. Kim is passionate about bridging theory and practice, translating research into actionable strategies that inform organizational decisions. As an educator, he brings his expertise to courses in strategic management, international business, statistical analysis, and research methods, fostering critical thinking and applied learning across undergraduate to graduate levels.
